- Disk Drive Duplication
-
- Drive Copy provides a method to store completed operating system partition and
- configuration information to a DOS mountable file server. When needed, the
- stored installation can be downloaded to a new hard disk without preparation
- beyond installing a network interface card in the destination computer.
- Multiple computers can download the saved installation concurrently. It works
- best on installations that require multiple network node/server computers that
- need local hard disk drives and very similar configurations
-
- No limit to partitions or operating systems
-
- Drive Copy is typically placed on a DOS bootable floppy that is placed in the
- destination computers. Once booted, the network volume is mounted to a local
- DOS drive letter and the copy program is initiated. When completed, the floppy
- is removed and the machine will boot to the hard disk and the copied
- installation.
